What is the Viral Korean Lash Lift?

The Korean Lash Lift is going viral but is it actually worth all the hype?

Rebel Lash and Brow Korean lash lift and tint 6-8 week damage-free results.

The Korean Lash Lift has gained popularity for its long-lasting, damage-free results, and the typical low maintenance aftercare. The Korean lash lift is a great option as a damage-free lash service that creates the illusion of more length and is perfect if you are looking for an alternative to fake lashes.

So, how does the trending service work?

It's similar to the traditional lash lift but the main difference is that it uses a glue-less method. The lashes are held in place on a silicon shield with the cysteamine solution that's been thickened with a viscosity controller. A thicker lotion allows for more control getting closer to the root while avoiding contact with the skin, and cysteamine can actually strengthen the lashes as they process.

Once step one is complete and removed, a conditioning treatment is applied. Then a shield with the desired curl is placed and the lashes are adhered with a glue balm to set in their final shape during step 2. Shield selection is critical to get the right curl for your eye shape and to avoid issues like lashes curling back onto the lids, or kinks at the root of your lashes after your lift.

When done correctly, you’ll get the perfect, long-lasting curl that creates an insane amount of length you didn’t even know you had.

So are there any risks?

The two greatest culprits when it comes to lash lifts are product-to-skin contact and overprocessing. When the product comes into contact with the skin we see symptoms like skin redness or irritation. As the client, you will know your lashes are over-processed if they feel dry and brittle to the touch, and/or the ends start to kink or curl. This is likely due to application and not improper aftercare.

An experienced professional should be able to choose the best processing times based on your specific lashes, and apply each solution avoiding contact with the skin. It is also highly beneficial to use a conditioning treatment between step 1 and 2 to ensure minimal damage during processing.

What Kind of Results Should You Expect?

Results for the lift itself can last upwards of 8 weeks! You just can't get them wet for the first 24 hours, and we recommend Because the lash lift is still a chemical process, we highly recommend using a conditioning product like castor oil or a growth serum.
